"This piece harkens back to the advent of Canadian modern commercial aviation with the first transcontinental flight in 1939. While the industry stumbled (ie Avro Arrow foundered in 1959), Canadian engineers from that supersonic jet project were quickly snapped up by NASA and contributed to many historic space flights including the Apollo 11 mission. But Air Canada was soon to soar the skies!"
